Well we did our usual trip up to Evesham this weekend.
Set of on Friday morning with my mum and dad in convoy on their boat and we moored at Craycombe overnight, Saturday up to Evesham all fairly uneventful.
saturday night and sunday morning was rain rain rain!! so we waited untill after dinner and it started to clear up. My son enjoyed watching the air ambulance land and take off - hopefully it wasnt needed for what ever happened.
Took us 5 hours to get back to our moorings, the wind was blowing well, i cut my finger on one of the ropes... not sure how i managed to do it but it was soo cold i didnt feel it untill my son said 'mum you bleed' Every lock was against us, except the last lock Nafford we as we approached a small 20-23 ft boat was leaving and we thought great we can got straight in, but as we straightened up for going in we realised the Idiot had been too lazy to open both gates so we then had to try and moor up and open the gate, he had also been to lasy to shut the paddles properly on descending dad noticed that he had only shut that paddle half way, ok it had been raining but why can;t people be a little bit thoughtful. We have noted the boat name and if we bump in to him we will be reminding him!!!
Woke up this am to high winds and rain so have packed up and come home.
